SS Rajamouli reacts to Oscar snub and wins hearts

RRR was re-released in cinemas across the United States in June and the Hindi language version of the film was streamed on Netflix, and ranked among the top 10 most viewed titles in the US for nine consecutive weeks. Three months later, ‘RRR’ is pulling audiences to theaters in the US, and is available on various streaming platforms.

Fans of ‘RRR’ argue that the film could have been a strong contender for the Oscars because of its ability to grab the attention of audiences across the world. Several members of the Hollywood fraternity and film critics have also reacted strongly to the FFI’s decision. Filmmaker Adam McKay, director of Leonardo DiCaprio’s ‘Don’t Look Up’, has called the Oscar humiliation of ‘RRR’ a ‘joke’ and promised to promote the film further.

SS Rajamouli’s period action drama will be presented for the 95th Academy Awards in all the popular categories including Best Picture and Best Original Score.
