Kim Kardashian says failing at baby bars helped daughter connect with her: ‘She saw me fail and cry’

Kim Kardashian is showing her daughter that despite their success, the two are not all that different. In a recent article for Vogue Italia, the 42-year-old SKIMS founder was asked to talk about the moment she learned she had gone through baby bars. Kardashian recalled, “That’s also one of my favorite episodes. My daughter was there with me.” “For a long time it was hard for her to understand why I was studying all the time. She saw me fail and cry, she saw that I was no different than when she was worried because of an exam.” “But when she saw me cry with joy, I knew she understood how important that accomplishment was to me personally.”

Kardashian has four children — Psalm, 4, Chicago, 5, Saint, 7, and North, 10 — with ex-husband Kanye West, 46. On a recent episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the reality TV star opened up about keeping her feelings for her ex-husband private from her kids. SheIn a confession, Kardashian said, “It’s the hardest feeling to see someone you really loved go away, and your family is so different from what you knew.” added, “I still feel the need not to talk about it and to protect it from my kids and I will always feel that way, but gosh, if only people knew.” “I would never do that to my kids.” Talking about the ups and downs of their relationships, Kardashian said that she “spent many hours of my days as a cleaning crew.” Mom Kris Jenner then explained that’s why divorce turned out to be the best option. In a confession, Kardashian said, “It’s the hardest feeling to see someone you really loved go away, and your family is so different from what you knew.”

Jenner said she thinks the oldest of the former couple, 10-year-old North, “is overhearing something, and maybe she won’t say it. That breaks my heart.” Kardashian, however, explained that none of the children are aware of this as she enforces the policy when their father is making headlines. “It’s a series in my whole house. No TV, only Apple TV,” she said, explaining that she “couldn’t afford” to watch a news teaser. “I have to find a way to be safe and so they haven’t seen anything yet, but I’m in a state of crisis,” Kardashian admitted in the confessional. “I’m being accused and blamed for so many things. And it’s really, really sad and it sucks, but I can control my reaction and if I mess up, I can I can control. Then my children will see that.” Jenner reassured her daughter that “there’s nothing” the family wouldn’t do for her, to which she said, “I just hate that I bring drama.” “I truly believe that one day, my children will appreciate my silence, my understanding, and my grace, and I will try to keep that in common at all times.
