Kevin Costner’s estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner, didn’t have a worry in the world when she walked down the beach in Hawaii in a bikini on Thursday, July 20 — less than two weeks after she was awarded nearly $130,000 a month in child support. Christine, 49, looked incredible in a black floral bikini as she strolled along the beach at the lavish Four Seasons Resort. She wore black shades to shield her eyes from the sun and kept her blonde hair open and parted in the middle. Her swarthy skin glistened in the sun and she looked at ease.

Christine was enjoying the 68-year-old Yellowstone star’s deep vacation with at least one of her children. He and his 13-year-old daughter, Grace, were seen posing for a few photos together before heading to the drier sand and wearing white sunhats. Grace wore a floral print bikini similar to her mother’s, but her base color was white.

Christine and Kevin also have sons Cayden, 16, and Hayes, 14. As noted above, a judge determined that Kevin would be responsible for child support of just under $130,000 per month, which is more than $100,000 less than the amount Christine originally sought. Kevin responded to her request with his own filing, claiming that he had no way of spending that much cash after leaving Yellowstone. In court documents obtained by Page Six, he reportedly said, “I will make significantly less in 2023 than in 2022. That’s because I’m no longer under contract to Yellowstone, which was my main source of income last year.” He suggested she pay $52,000 a month, which Christine called “completely unreasonable” according to TMZ.

According to a source close to her, Christine felt “relieved” following the child support decision. “[She] just wants to care for and support her kids,” the insider told People on July 13. Divorce is not his fault. She doesn’t want them to suffer because of it, or experience a negative change in life.

Christine filed for divorce on Monday, May 1, citing “irreconcilable differences”. After the news broke, the Field of Dreams actor’s rep shared a statement with HollywoodLife regarding the divorce. Kevin’s rep said, “It is very sad that circumstances beyond his control have resulted in Mr. Costner participating in a dissolution of marriage proceeding.” “We ask that his, Christine’s and their children’s privacy be respected as they go through this difficult time.”

The divorce has been bitter from the start. On July 13, court documents obtained by Page Six reportedly revealed that Kevin accused his wife of “robbing him indiscriminately” prior to their separation. Kevin also said that Christine, over the past several months, both before and after the separation, displayed a disturbing trend of taking [Kevin’s] property without his knowledge or consent, especially since this case was filed. Kevin also reportedly claimed that Christine refused to vacate their shared home after he filed for divorce, which would have been mandated by their prenuptial agreement.

Just before Christine leaves for Hawaii, Kevin takes their kids to Canada for a vacation. Although the end of their relationship seems to have been difficult, it is clear that both Christine and Kevin are coming out ahead for their children.
