Adipurush starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan and Sunny Singh has created massive controversy post its release. The film and the makers were mercilessly criticized for their version of Ramayana. In Adipurush, Prabhas played Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon played Maa Sita and Saif Ali Khan played Lankesh/Raavan. From VFX to dialogues, there was a massive backlash on everything. Moreover, the statements of writer Manoj Muntashir, who defended Adipurush, added to the anger of the people. Now, days after the release, Manoj Muntashir has tendered an unconditional apology.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Manoj Muntashir accepted that Prabhas’ Adipurush has hurt the sentiments of people and he is extremely sorry for the same. He apologized with folded hands and spoke of unity. He wrote, “I accept that people’s sentiments have been hurt by Adipurush. I tender an unconditional apology with folded hands. May Lord Bajrang Bali keep us united and give us the strength to serve our holy Sanatan and our great nation.

With this, Manoj Muntashir is trending on Twitter as netizens have a divided reaction to his apology. Some netizens seem to have accepted his apology by saying that he has realized his mistakes. While some are slamming him for gaining sympathy after the film has made money at the box office.
